Do I Need To Winter Protect My Roses?
Yes, unfortunately. Our growing season is coming to an end -winter is coming. What do we do for our roses?
This will be the topic discussed by two of our own members, Jill Hoeft and Andrew Gawboy, at the September meeting.
Do you take a chance that we really are in Zone 5 and not do much protection? Or do you err on the side of caution and do some protection – but how much?
Andrew will talk about what they will be doing at Lyndale Park Rose Garden. Jill will talk about her hit-and-miss protection for her garden. Attendees will be able to ask questions of our speakers as well as the panel moderator, Alex Meyer, another one of our members. This is an in-person meeting as well as by Zoom. This should be a fun and interesting meeting. You will also get to have some input on what we do for our October meeting and election of offices. We hope to see you there!
