TCRC Meeting

June is rose month and that means it’s time for rose shows. The TCRC rose show this year is our British Style rose show which we have not held for several years due to Covid. We will review the British rose classifications, which are different from the ARS show classifications.

There will be pictures from previous British Style rose shows that will demonstrate how to present rose bowls, three roses of the same variety in a vase, three different varieties in a single vase, English boxes and more.

What is meant by frontal presentation? In the British style shows, we use no ARS ribbons, entry tags or vase sizes and no wedging (to hold flowers in place in a vase or bowl) is permitted.

In the arrangement section we have no ARS classes or awards. If you have never entered a British style rose show, this meeting is a must for you to attend and it’s also a good review for the seasoned exhibitor.
