The speaker for our February meeting will be Dr.David Zlesak. The topic for his presentation will be an update on the black spot research being done at the University of Minnesota. There will be a discussion on the research with time for Q&A.

Dr.Zlesak, a member of the Twin Cities Rose Club for many years, is a well-known speaker in the rose world. He is also a rose hybridizer focusing on disease resistance and winter hardiness. Many of his hybrids can be found commercially. David is also involved in many rose testing programs and studies. Needless to say, he  has won many awards for his work with roses: the ARS Rising Star Award, the Silver Honor Medal for service to the North Central District of the ARS, and several Awards of Excellence for his rose hybrids are just a few. David is well respected around the world for his knowledge and dedication to roses.
