Rose of the Month ~ September
2002
Regensburg
This month's rose is Regensburg. I saw this rose for the
first time at Dianne's garden tour this year. It was in spectacular
shape even this late in the season. It is one of the most
successful of the "hand-painted" varieties and is
relatively hardy up to zone 4. Also known as Buffalo Bill,
Regensburg is a floribunda, classified as a pink blend with
an ARS rating of 8.1. It's parentage is Geoff Boycott X Old
Master and it was bred in New Zealand and introduced in 1980
by Sam McGredy Roses, International.
