Charles Albanel
Charles Albanel is a hybrid rugosa rose, hybridized
by Dr. Felicitas Svedja in Canada as part of the Explorer
series and introduced in 1982. It has a low, spreading growth
habit and makes a good groundcover. It has been widely planted
in environmental landscaping. The blooms are semi-double and
medium red with a strong fragrance. It's wrinkled, grassy
green foliage makes an attractive shrub even when not in bloom.
The plant is extremely hardy and disease resistant. What is
