Frühlingsgold

Frühlingsgold is an Old Garden Rose (Hybrid Spinosissima) also known as Spring Gold. It was bred in Germany by Kordes & Sons and introduced in United States in 1951. It is once-blooming with a large flush of blooms in late spring. The single, saucer-shaped blooms are medium yellow with strong spicy fragrance. Frühlingsgold is a large, arching shrub growing to a height of 7 to 8 feet. It can withstand some shade and is winter hardy to Zone 3. What is your experience with Frühlingsgold?
