Rose of the Month ~ March 2007

Lambert Closse

Lambert Closse is a relative newcomer in the Canadian Explorer series, introduced in 1995. It was derived from a cross between the floribunda Arthur Bell and the hardy shrub John Davis. A small 3' x 3' plant, it is a great addition to a small space and also works well in groupings. Blooms are medium-pink with a touch of cream and repeat well throughout the season. The foliage is bright, medium green, with good resistance to powdery mildew and blackspot. As with others in the Explorer series, it is winter-hardy in our Zone 4. What is your experience with Lambert Closse? Rate it in the poll below.
