Rose of the Month ~ February 2005

Black Jade

Black Jade is a dark red miniature. When grown in part shade, blooms are intensely red, almost black--hence the name. The plant grows 18"-24" with shiny green foliage. The blooms have exhibition form and have been seen on the show tables. There is some tendency to attract powdery mildew and black spot but does well with a regular spraying program.
