Rose of the Month ~ February 2004

Betty Boop

Betty Boop is a floribunda bred in United States by Tom Carruth and introduced by Weeks Roses in 1999. It is classified by the ARS as a semi-double red-blend but the colors can vary greatly depending on where it is planted. It has a fruity fragrance and will repeat it's bloom later in the summer. The bush is somewhat compact at 3-5 feet and is also sold as a tree rose. As a floribunda, it will need some winter protection in our Zone 4 but given a little TLC it will perform wonderfully in the garden.
