Next Meeting is Friday, September 17th
Our speaker for the September 17th meeting will be Kathy Zuzek, University of MN Extension Educator, Horticulture, Dakota County Extension & Conservation Center
Kathy will talk about Recent and Future Shrub Roses from the University of Minnesota and developing the Northern Accent Roses and then show photos and descriptions of seedlings that are possibilities for future shrub rose cultivar releases.
Kathy Zuzek is an Extension Educator with expertise in trees and shrubs. Her training is in forest science and in plant breeding and genetics. Prior to joining the University of Minnesota Extension horticultural team, she worked in forest pathology research followed by 19 years as a plant breeder on the University of Minnesota’s woody ornamental research program that has provided northern gardeners with the Northern Accents™ roses, the “Lights” series of azaleas, Garden Glow™ dogwood, Firefall™ Freeman maple, and other shrub and tree cultivars.
The second half program will be our TCRC member Rita Marvig on drying roses and using dried the roses.

here for directions). Meetings start at 7:30 and as always refreshments will be served and raffle will be held. See you there!
